Born in 1963 Anne Sophie Mutter began playing the violin when she was 5 years old. Her debut at 13 was with Herbert von Karajan who declared that she was "the greatest music prodigy since Menuhin" and "a genius" at 13.
Her spare time interests include climbing mountains and driving fast cars!
