The stories of BABAR THE ELEPHANT
were some of my favorites books as a child - his adventures with
their detailed pictures tell of his adventures, and are notable
for their ability to tell larger stories with simplicity and style.
Written in the 1830's by french writer Jean de Brunhoff (1899-1937)
they have been translated into at least 12 languages.
