Marlon Brando was a film and stage actor. A product of the New York Actors' Studio he made his debut in 1943, A Streetcar Names Desire (1947) bringing him fame. Films included The Wild One (1953), Julius Caesar (1953), One-Eyed Jacks (1961), Mutiny on the Bounty (1962) Last Tango in Paris (1972), On the Waterfront (1954) for which he received an Oscar, The Godfather (1972), A Dry White Season (1988), The Freshman (1990), and Don Juan de Marco (1995).
