* clear, straight forward format - no added exercises, just simple appealing folk tunes which children and parents recognize.
* The tunes are excellent for re-inforcing key signatures, time signatures, simple rhythms and also for improving finger technique with emphasizing changes from C2 to D2 to E2, difficult ones for beginners.
* There are enjoyable duets at the back of the books and even some accompanied tunes for teachers who can play piano
* the books are available at a great price, a fantastic idea for parents who don't want to outlay $20 and then find the student ceases lessons after a few weeks !"
